I don’t do enough of these, but a new site Paddy Magic just launched and I wanted to keep a quick before and after and show you potential new clients what you get when you work with me.

WordPress Plugins, WooComerce & Hosting

The site was a wash of plugins and other patches to help keep the quite terrible hosting with Blacknight afloat. When I came in the site was hacked, it had a heap of SEO and core taxonomy issues and generally the site was in need of some love under the hood. The WooCommerce setup is now as it should be the site is fast and reliably hosted with fair charges. FYI if you use Blacknight they stealth charge for things like SSL that are core to hosting.

Look & Feel, Logo & Mobile first layout

The logo was changed, SVG versions created to allow it stay cheerful but not amateur.

Goodbye Google Analytics, Hello Clicky.com

If your not familiar with Clicky, you are in for a great surprise. GA is confusing and inaccurate but Clicky is the best, super easy to use for all and with live data. It is a must for monitoring any paid spend with Google and for SEO/SEM.

SEO & Re-Launch

The site had Pharma Hacking links, this is a common issue I see on Blacknight server and cheap old hosting that is not managed. Google’s index had become destroyed, the brand was also representing itself as the logo version of the text, ‘Paddymagic’, this typo branding is a bad idea.

You can see some nice little touches below too like the emoji 🌈 to match the logo. This also indexed which is rare. But at its core the site is clean and indexing now, many of the older blog posts written years back have now started to become useful to Google. Ongoing posting will of course help solidify this and expand the brand and increase sales.

Ongoing Content & Next Steps…

A website is a treadmill, use it and you will see results, don’t and you wont. Next steps are the same for everyone and all about moving to a phase of ongoing publishing via the blog, pages and products of a site.
